Today, the entire SPARTAN Superway 2018-2019 team took a
group photo. We also received some unfortunate news. After a change in
ownership of the SSDC building, we were given until the end of this semester
before being, essentially, evicted. Nevertheless, Dr. Furman reassured us that
the Mechanical Engineering Department will fight for us. We students won’t give
up either. Even if we do get kicked out, we will either find a new lot to work
in or work on campus. For the rest of the class period, we continued to work.
Today, I am aiming to clarify some calculations regarding
the gimbal motor that we presented in Presentation #2.

The desired velocity of
1.084 m/s has been achieved with the new bogie wheels, the new gimbal motor, the
old 7.4V LiPo battery, and a 2:1 gearing set.
