After speaking with Kevin today, I became more comfortable with the thought of delving through the Python program and exploring the Raspberry Pi via the LCD touchscreen. He wasn’t able to read through the code on the screen, but he did show me where the code and the IDE’s were located, so I can try it out on my own.
The entire Small-Scale Team will have to work closely together, mostly with the Bogie Team, as the bogie and servo motor (or the motor we will change it to) are connected; specifically, the servo motor steers the podcar, deciding which path to follow when encountering a divide in the track, and guiding the master wheels of the bogie. There is also a slight overlap with the Track Team: based on our decision whether or not to implement induction charging, the track team will have to design the track around stations that have the induction charging ports.
